Today, I bring you one of my laziest moments, certain to become a regular feature here on the blog.
We’ve all been sick, but while the kids seemed to have finally bounced back, Bob and I are lingering in the sick zone.
The girls tumble loudly into my room at 6:30am after my worst night of sleep, which for someone who has routinely been woken up 2 to 4 times each night for the last 6 years really says something.
As the noise erupts, I get a brilliant idea, send them downstairs to watch a kid’s show on TV on their own. Surely that will allow me another 20 minutes of rest. They don’t know how to change channels with our current, newish remotes, so I turn to my newest discovery, Verizon’s Fios App on my iPad. From this app, I can watch live TV on my iPad or I can use my iPad as a remote, find out what is on TV and from my bedroom change the channel in the living room to Channel 256 – Disney Junior so they can enjoy a new favorite “Charlie and Lola.”
Brilliant! Loving this feature. It only bought me an extra 12 minutes before the baby woke, but I see many applications for it in the future.
A moment of laziness and creative genius.
